This is what I assume to be an oil can. Its about a foot tall and probably a gallon. Says the friend along the top. Tin shell with glass insert. Tin has a crimped seam. And holes to see liquid level in the glass. Not looking for appraisal just a clue as to age or what it is. Cant find anything online. Found it in an attic over an apartment my friend rented.

Kerosene jug used to fill kerosene lamps and finger lamps around the house. Railroads also had these to fill their lanterns. Probably around early 1900's. I have not seen the name before but have seen and used the same jug long ago.

      Nice!

Maybe the owner of it, your friend's landlord, could give you some info on it.

Very cool and helpful. A very historic railroad went through 50 yards from the attic I found it in. Thank you so much for the info.
