My aunt purchased this item from an antique store recently, she had been eyeing it up for years and eventually bout the item.
She has asked me to find out as much as I can about the image and the origins of the plate. Unfortunately I'm new to this so I'm at a loss at to its origin or image.
I assume the picture is depicting a Chinese story of some sort, I am ruling out Japanese as the style depicted Chinese dress and facial hair.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Japanese Nabeshima ware painted in the Chinese style on Eggshell porcelian. Just exquiste as the Japanese are absolutely brilliant at what they do.

Thank you for the response, she will be happy to hear this
Could anyone comment on the story or tale that this image represents. I am not up on my Chinese mythology / stories but would love to know what the image is depicting
is there any markings on the back of the plate?
Hi Sean, thanks for comment, Unfortunately not, this was the first thing I checked.
Dean was right, 100% agree. The figures are called seven deities of fortune(one in background).
