1988 - Pillsbury Cookie Jar

This is the 1988 issue of the Pillsbury Doughboy Cookie Jar made by the Benjamin & Medwin Company, New York, NY. It is ceramic and stands 12" tall, the eyes are painted, and the hat logo is an adhesive-backed decal. The entire head is the lid. - Made in Thailand.
-- Benjamin & Medwin, Inc. made many other licensed items including Peanuts characters (Snoopy, Woodstock, etc.) and also Planters Peanut (Mr. Peanut) cookie jars, salt & pepper, etc. - In addition they also made cast iron cookware and copper cookware and figure shape molds. - I believe the company went bankrupt in 1995.
