Large Redware Pot i found in New England

Here's a large pot i found in an antique store when i was back in New England at Thanksgiving. It's a really nice pot, in perfect condition and it appears to have some real age to it. i've never collected redware before, so i don't know much about it. it came out of a local barn in northern New England. Any ideas as to what it was used for? value? the piece is approx. 10" high and 11" wide.
