I really have no idea what this is. I think this is really interesting and would like to know more about it. It is about 2 and 1/2 inches in length and some kind of metal. I really need help finding out what this is.

I would say its a bottle opener - grab a bottle of brew and see if it works

You may want to see if your handle unscrews, "Gently". If it does come off, you may find a corkscrew, like mine has, that looks similar to yours.
