I'm not sure what exactly this was used for. I bought it for a $1. Its the length of a roll of wrapping paper and has metal plates on each end. Im confused because the ends don't come off. So maybe it's part of a window display? I have no idea. So I'm hoping a fellow collector on here can help me out if you have ever seen one of these.

It may be a shipping tube for a very rare or even an unseen paper banner....... I bet the ends are just a little stuck from age. Now the question..... to open or not open??
Another possibility is that it's a core that something was wrapped around, a banner maybe?
