I found this beautiful basket/bowl with flowers carefully wrapped and stored in a chest. I don't know what it is made of. Could it be silver or silverplate? It is about 3.5 in high (or 5.75 inches high with handle up) x 6 in long x 4.5 in wide. It is very heavy. It says Made in USA on the bottom, I would love to know what it is, and any details about it.

Nice Repousse basket. Appears to be silver plate where the plate has worn off. Ca 30's to the 50's.
I also have a silver basket, it was a wedding gift for my Grandparents. My Mother was born in 1925, the last of 4 children for them. The basket is very much like this one, but with more flowers on it, the base and handle are the same. That would put the age much older then Ca 30's my guess would be around 1910-1915. My Grandmother's family were "very well-off" if that helps identify more on this lovely basket. They lived in NY city. Thank you for anyone have any more info.
