This is an un-opened slide-box package of Dennison Gummed Labels made by the Dennison Manufacturing Co., Framingham, Mass.
The box is from the 1940's and includes 60 pieces of red-border No. 213 gummed labels (size - 1 3/16" X 15/16" - shown on front) - (60 for 19¢)
On the back is an ad for address labels also available from Dennison stationary products. -- Dennison Manufacturing was founded in 1844 in Brunswick, Maine by brothers Aaron and E.W. Dennison. The company first began producing jewelry and watch boxes. Dennison then began producing paper products in the early 1900's such as shipping tags, crepe paper and decorations. They moved their manufacturing to Framingham in 1878 and remained there until 1990 when they merged with the Avery Adhesives Company.
