This is a Montgomery Wards metal clipboard from the Wards Riverside (Chicago) Truck Tires Store - it has the store's 50th Anniversary logo emblem imprinted in black ink along with the name logo. (1963)
The clipboard is metal painted gold with a spring-loaded "clip" handle.
The back has four felt footpads and some corrosion damage to the paint.
*** Montgomery Ward was founded by Aaron Montgomery Ward in 1872. Ward had conceived of the idea of a dry goods mail-order business in Chicago, Illinois, after several years of working as a traveling salesman among rural customers.
- Montgomery Ward ceased operations in 2001.
