I can't believe I found the identical "gravel art" still life at GW today that my Mom made back when we lived in Michigan. The last time I saw it was in 1964 on the dining room wall just before we moved to Ohio. My parents sold a lot of things because they bought a mobile home to tide us over until they found a house they really liked here in Ohio. There was another panel with a cheese board, wine glasses and a pineapple that made the set. It wasn't there but Cleopatra was...except without Caesar or Mark Anthony. Wonder if I'll ever run across the mates to these two..what are the odds that I even found this one ! -Mike-

That was some crazy good luck. Congrats Mike.
At first glance I thought it was a black Crow standing next to the watermelon.

Thanks Aim.... I see what you mean about the pitcher. It's like one of those optical illusion pictures that everyone sees differently. I really like the Cleopatra one. I think the movie with Elizabeth Taylor came out around the same time this would have been available. That's one of my all time favorite movies. Still need to watch the blu-ray version I bought last year...lol
