Weird Kettle ???

    I don't know what this is. It looks like it might be some type of kettle or coffee maker. It fits nicely over a stove burner. I think the top part of the handle is supposed to come off, but it appears to be stuck. the object measures 11 1/2" tall and 6" across the base. There are no markings found.
