    Not exactly sure what this is. Bought at yardsale. the bottom of the inside of the can is 2 1/4 inches from the bottom of the can. 9" diameter. 12" tall with handle. Anyone know what exactly this is?

      Oil can to put oil in an engine. We used them for our tractors on the farm. Once you inserted the nozzle in the oil filler hole you push the lever with your thumb to start and stop the oil from flowing.

      People also used them for kerosene and about anything else that flowed. Less chance of spilling it.
