    Af Venskab written on the front of the cup. O friendship. I think this should be from the mid 1800's. Anyone know?

      hi behrinmind,

      the wrinting does not look french, but its difficult to read, for me its much more late 19th'.... if you look on the base it is quite higth, and i thing it should be in french a "tasse trembleuse"

      The lettering is Dutch. They are Af Venskab meaning "of friendship". Not a good picture. It is a cup people would give to their friends. Maybe as late as 1870-1880.
      7.62 centimeters. Or 3 inches tall. Thank you for your link to Christies. Very helpful
