I got this little bowl at a thrift store, just cuz I like wood things. I got the outside SUPER smooth. There are no markings, altho it looks like there might have been little legs at one point, or feet at least. It's maple in color, 3 inches tall, 4.5 inches across, and is relatively light. I have it on my desk at work holding paperclips.
If I only saw the inside I might say maple or birch. If I also saw the outside I would settle on Sycamore probably.
