Hi everyone, I picked this up from a flea market a while ago because I loved the intricate detail that was on it. The person that sold it to me did not seem to know much about it either besides that it is supposedly Asian and so it would be great if I could get a little help identifying what this is.

There are no markings/words anywhere inside or out on this case that can help me with identifying it which has made it quite difficult.

This diameter of this is about 2 inches and as seen in the second picture, came with some sort of make up pad and a metallic layer.

Hi there. This reminded me of the one I have- although the difference is there more than I thought at first. Mine is signed "Nacon" which is from Tokyo. I also think the one I have was a lipstick holder, maybe. I do like the little chain and the ring that goes around the finger, very cute.

There are so many different brands and makers of these compacts but usually the higher end ones do have their mark on them.

Stick around, you will see some amazing things, meet amazing people here on this site and the education you will get will also amaze you! Welcome to the "CW"

I would say yours has Plumeria flowers on it. Many think Plumeria is native to Hawaii, but it's not. The Plumeria originated here in the Americas.

Sometimes, many times, a signature can be in the oddest of places. It helps to seek it out in the daylight- better than any other time. Try taking even the puff outside at that time, you may see some remnants of a name or maybe even be able to make it out. Also look on all sides, near the latch or any where else you may not expect to find it. :) I'll post a photo of mine so you can see how close they look on the outside

      Hi shareurpassion,

Thank you for welcoming me and sharing pictures from your own collection. I've never heard of Nacon before and that opened my eyes to something new.

I have tried studying it under better lighting and have even asked friends and family to look for me to see if there is any engravings or markings on it and really nothing could be found. The idea about the Plumeria flowers though is definitely new insight as my friends had suggested they were cherry blossoms all this time.
