I found this gorgeous vase at a garage sale and really know nothing about it. Its about a foot tall and 8ins at the widest part. It almost looks like jade. The colour seems to go from green to a heavy green. I would really love some help identifying my vase. I have tried looking it up with no luck. I'm adding this in the animal depicted looks like a horse's head with a mermaid tail half way down.

Going by the depiction, my guess is that probably carved stone from Africa, although I can’t read the name. Can you imagine how difficult it would be to carve such a hard stone. I have seen smaller dishes etc, nothing that big though,
      It is stunning!
