This was picked up at a recycling centre for £2.
I think its a prayer mat ??.
It has a very well made inlaid framework so can be hung on the wall , the colours on the mat are a lot brighter than in the photos !!
The mat is 2ft wide and roughly 6ft long and very decorative , even the small patterns are mostly different to each other, it looks like cotton/silk and has a hand made look to it .. (not that im an expert ).
If anyone can tell me if im right or wrong it would be much appreciated , also where do you think it could be from ??
It might be a decorative wall hanging. Javanese?

it could be a decorative wall hanging but its folded in half on the hanger type wooden framework ! I would have thought that if wall hanging it would be fixed on the top & hang full length which would be around 8ft total..
ive only gone with prayer mat from what I was told when I bought it , ..
