    I believe this is a WWII era victory pin. Not sure if it's Bakelite, but it definitely looks to be hand made. I thought it was a unique little piece and I'm adding it to my son in service/sweetheart pins collection.

      That's a beauty, roxy!! I'm wondering if it might even be older than that, judging by the soldier's uniform.

      I believe this is more than likely plastic or Celluloid, as that is what most of this style of pin was made of. I also believe that this is from WWII, and double-checked "Sweetheart Jewelry and Collectibles" by Nick Snider. There is a picture of a similar pin on page 149, only the figure in the center is a sailor as opposed to a soldier. Regardless, I LOVE it! =)
