omg the same thing happened to me awhile back i found a hair at home wonder when it fell out of my head there is a lot of hairs on my head lol bit more info would be helpful
That is a skidding tong (a/k/a log grapple hook by some) the size of the choker and shape of the hooks tells you it is for logs and not bails of hay etc. The pines don't date this but the wood in the pines is probably worth more. These are quite common and in everyday use. This one got left behind which isn't unusual. Sandblast it, paint it and hang it up. Or, buy a new one online for $29.99 and it is ready to display.
