      It is beautifully made Melanie.
      You said you are not sure of the medium....is it some sort of ceramic, resin or metal?
      It's hard to tell from the pics.

      racer4four I think plaster...?
      used finger nail on bottom and it made a scratch.
      Is resin that heavy and can you scratch resin w/ your finger nail?
      Weight 38.5lbs

      Resin is too hard to scratch with a fingernail.
      Whoever they are they are talented.....even if this is cast the original was hand made.

      It's a beautiful piece and I absolutely love it.
      I only paid $20.00 for this piece and find it to be well worth that.
      Original or not I will find a special place to display these two love bird's.
