measures 34 1/4 inches long including the tang.... I can't find any
markings the guard has a cherry blossom theme. the blade is stillvery sharp

The big money is for the older hand forged blades-- I cannot tell from your photos.
Hand forged blades have what looks like wood grain on them and a wavy line that runs the length of the blade just above the edge.

You can make a 2nd post if you need more than four pictures. Looks like it made from carbon steel which is a good sign.
