I'm still working on finding the model number, if anyone knows it please let me know!
This projector is autoload (threads itself) and can take both regular 8mm and Super-8. Instructions are on the inside of the casing, shown in the last picture.
One thing I found cool about this is that the power cable is kept under the included reel as show in the third picture.
I found this post a few years ago and lost it with a browser crash. Somehow I found myself back here again. :)
Okay, so I have that exact same projector! My family has owned it and a Bell and Howell camera since I was little (I guess that's about 40 years now). I believe our projector still works as I replaced the bulb a few years back. I'll look for the model number when I can get to ours again, but I would look at the bottom near the feet that extend down if you push the small metal tab near the control knob.
We have several family movies including ones of me as a child. We didn't have sound so I was going to convert them using my sony digital camera to allow us to comment and preserve those memories as well. Sadly, about a year ago my mom lost the ability to speak due to her ALS, so her exact thoughts and memories may never be captured. :(
I see the original post was ten years ago and the other comment is from two years ago so it's probably a good bet nobody is gonna see my reply. On the bottom of the projector there's a silver tag with the model number imprinted. It's a bit hard to read and I wouldn't be surprised that after all these yours the tag is unreadable or just missing but I believe this is a autoload model 1625.
