    This was my grandmother's brooch - she probably got it from a thrift store, or jumble sale. She was from the UK.

    Can anyone tell me more about this? It is glass, painted. The back looks like a repair job? It's not centered on the back.

      Looks Victorian with the C-Clasp at the back. Hand Painted Brooch??

      I was wondering whether it was Victorian too. The back of it seems like it might come from another piece though, so I'm not sure. It's been fixed on the back rather crudely and it's totally off centre.

      Yeah tsukimoon. Like it was crimped at the edges around another pin. makes one wonder what the original underneath is?

      Could it be porcelain? Similar type of pins have been made in Limoges for years.
