Vintage 1980's Dakin Silvia White Cat 2" Wind-up Japan Artist Society
Item #01-0004
Silvia wind-up cat. Designed by the Japan Artists Society for Dakin in 1980 as part of the Silvia and Silvan collection.
On the bottom of her feet it reads: "Copr. 1980 JAPAN ARTISTS SOCIETY INC. and R. DAKIN & CO. and TAIWAN".
She is in good condition (considering her age!). Wind-up works sometimes. (Guess when she is in the mood. <grin)
This little sweetheart is approximately 2" tall. She has faux fur, felt ears and black plastic whiskers.
Silvia has been kept in her little case, as you see her in the photos, on a shelf in a pet/smoke-free environment.
The small, plastic case she lives in is aged. Some discoloration to clear plastic and from old price sticker. Otherwise, in good condition.
So far, I have not located another Silvia wind-up while researching her. She looks pretty good for a 35 year old toy!
Super. Love it Suggest you keep the packaging just do not keep her in the packaging.
She is a honey!
