This clock comes from my great grandmother who lived in Roswell Ga. She and her husband Tom Garrett owned a store across the road and helped establed Mountain Park Ga at Garrett Lake. I know they had it in the 1940's but I do not know the era of the clock.
It looks German, from about the 1890-1910. I have one similar to it except for some ornamentation on top and mine is marke Mauthe, are there any markings on the movement?

I think it may be an American clock because of the type of clock that I think is called an Adamantine. The possible makers, all american also, can possibly be identified blow numbers like 7, 6 and 5, (using a magnifying glass). Generally, the most well known makers for these that I know of to date are: Sessions, Ansonia and New Haven. These clocks, like this one, have very low winding hales as well, for the most part anyway.
