      This chair speaks to me of being Black Forest, German. The carving and the seat particularly. If so, then it was made between 1870 & 1900. Difficult to tell from one picture but I think I am right.

      I believe the chair was made by the George Arndt Chair Company, Dansville, NY. early 1900's vintage.

      Yes Muck is correct, it's a George Arndt Chair from Dansville, NY 1900-1910.
