I just acquired this dek with no history. Have figured out it is an old typewriter desk.
Does anyone know this style? How can I determine age?
    Thanks

Unique corner blocks. I would say 1950's or newer. Looks like someone took a sander to it and did away with what little value it had.

I just got this same kind of desk, it has a plaque on the side that says "Office of emergency mgt" with 9-5740 on it. It also has ISC 1791 stamped on the inside of the left side.

I just acquired an identical desk. I found a Stamp on the bottom of the drawer and one on the bottom of the lower shelf. My desk is a Typewriter desk made by the Thomasville Chair Company and sold to the US Air Force in 1943 for $13.00. If anyone has any further information, please let me know!

I found one of these at my local recycling center this morning. The veneer was destroyed but the pine wood underneath was solid and in excellent shape, perfect for staining. It is solidly built and will have a new life as my wife's desk in her rabbitry. Great find!

What a great find! I have found it to be a very sturdy and convenient desk! It is my work from home desk. I'm sure your wife will enjoy it!
