The tree of life is a theme of clay sculpture created in central Mexico, especially in the municipality of Metepec, State of Mexico.
This one is marked on the back Metepec and is also a candelabra.
Depicting Adam and Eve in the garden being tempted by the serpent. Creative and well done artist rendition in muted paints on hand sculpted red clay. About 10" x 10" and weighs in at 3 pounds.
