Hand decorated Chinese porcelain bowl with no maker's mark. Measures 3" inches in height and 6 1/4" in diameter. The unevenness of the glaze and the dark rum lead me to believe it was a bit older. Any help would be appreciated.

Painting style and details leads me advice this is quite new item, late 20th century.
Rooster in china, it is symbol of warmth and life of universe it's also means the warlike courage. There is many china rooster plates here, check them out.
I think that is a stylised bat in pic. 2 .... a symbol of plenty, I think.
I think you are right about the bat. Just find it is not marked "China" or "Made In China".
