I have no clue/info about this bracelet :(
    Old/New? No clue
    Origin? No clue
    Native American?
    India?
    Carved elephant material.......Bone? No clue.

What I do know is that I likey a lot.

    But it's obviously a man's bracelet.....very large.

I do know that I would love to have it made into a necklace so I can wear it.
    Should I do this?

Amazing the things you find when you spring clean.

Once again this had to come from a yard sale, church sale or thrift store.

I had no clue what category to put this under....but I don't believe this is costume jewelry so I chose Fine Jewelry.

Here's my opinion, having held on to way too many things with the thought/knowledge that they might be worth something. a) Right now, as a bracelet, it's not worth much to you because you won't wear it. b) There's isn't a lot of jewelry that, even if it's old, that pulls a lot of cash - even if you can find a buyer (especially when precious metals and gems are not involved). c) There may be a way to make a necklace that you would wear that would not significantly alter the bracelet and therefore it could be returned to the bracelet form if you for any reason regret making the transformation. I say 'transform it'. You didn't have it yesterday. Now you have something that has value as a step toward something you would, indeed, like to have. Are you really planning to chase down a buyer? Or, would you rather have your cool necklace? [For the record, if we're guessing origin, I would guess an African country (or some place influenced by African cultures). Though India wouldn't be impossible. I think Native American is rather unlikely.]

Katherine I'm really not sure about that.....
I actually wore this one day and you wouldn't believe the attention it received. My manager (from India) at work noticed it right away and said she believes it was made there. She wanted to know where I got it from and I told her probably a thrift store or yard sale.
