This cute little jar was one from my mom in law. It has a pattern on it similar to coin dot from pictures I have seen online, but I don't really know what coin dot is....so not sure. The dots or holes are large enough to put your finger in and are actual indentions in the glass and there is a zig zag pattern above and below the circles. It measures roughly 2-1/2" tall and 8-1/4" around the dots. Pretty star pattern on the bottom. Any help would be so appreciated!

this toothpick holder is the 'King's Crown' pattern and possibly a Tiffin reproduction; originally made by Adam's & Co. c1890 and called Excelsior (X.L.C.R.).

A toothpick holder....cool! Thanks so much TallCakes! I don't know much about glassware, but I believe this was given to my mother in law (born 1926) by her mother. I will try to look up the pattern and see what else I can find out!

given that date, it may be a ruby stained original from Adams.

Wow TallCakes! Is there a way I can tell the difference? I do see a shimmery effect when the red hits light. Is that any clue?

TallCakes i just found out from my husband that his mom did actually use it for toothpicks! Lol

I'd lean towards this being Adams considering the provenance and ruby stain.
