I am told it is late 19th century Victorian Peacock

It is a beautiful bird but I grew up calling it the "Ugly Little Chicken".
It was in the family before me (1951) and now it is passed down to me. It has great family value but should it be insured? Insurance Value?

I have researched and I have not found another one, but I did see one in a book in the past. It is a copper base with each stud set in a copper collar made of a twisted copper wire. I am an eclectic collector and this is one of my favorite pieces. Love to share the good stuff
