Made by Antonio Grouso, Naples & New York. Repaired in 1976 in Berkeley CA at an instrument repair shop. Given to me by a friend of my mothers in 1976 who bought it second hand in the 1930's. I saw the cracks in the laminated strips that make up the melon back and had it repaired. I have kept it in academy ever since, usually in a basement or closet. It has been loosy strung but I never did learn to play it.
