Sunshine Ale and Beer ROG Sign

Here is a Sunshine Ale and Beer ROG Sign from the Barbey’s Sunshine Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. There are 2 layers to this sign; one being the ROG glass and the other being a gold leaf backer. This Sunshine Ale and Beer ROG Sign is considered an ROG (reverse-painted-glass) because the front glass is painted on the opposite side. The sign is about 6? X 24? and is framed in a wood frame. I would put a date on this sign somewhere between the late 1930’s to the early 1940’s.

Signs like this one are very, very hard to find if any condition; just through luck I was able to find 2 of these at once. I kept this one, the best one for my collection and sold the other to a good friend and fellow collector. I’m very happy to have this sign in my collection; it has been one that I’ve wanted ever since I started collecting.
