    I wonder if this was a child's iron? Or possibly part of a traveling set? The other iron blocks weren't with this when I got it. Couldn't pass it up though for $5.

      Could be a salesman sample but I have a feeling it is a fully functional iron. I think that is the smallest of the three sizes they made.
      Not 100% sure on this.

      I just came across your post from 4 years ago.
      I have a tiny iron like yours except mine was made by a different company who, thank goodness, made it clear that it is a child's "toy".
      Mine is embossed with "Dover Dolly Iron made in USA".
      Many children's toys were functional replicas of adult's appliances/tools. This little iron could actually be heated on the stove, then the removable top with the wooden handle applied and latched and the little girl would be ready to actually iron something, just like Mommy.
      Training for girls to learn domestic duties started early back then.
      Mine has come down thru the family to me. It was my aunt's who was born about 1915.
