Beautiful Chinese Export Wood Lacquer & Brass Trim Box - For Cigarettes?

Picked this up for a buck last summer at a local street market. The brass was a dull black color. I can't find any three piece Asian boxes like this one, but have found very similar design hinged jewelry boxes. Nothing with Koi carp. I am guessing that it is a vintage piece.

Inside measurements are 10 1/2" x 8 1/2".
