    Here is another piece I picked up today. The spoon has a pointy handle end and tied spoon. Not sure what kind of wood this is.

    Need help in identifying this. Also found in trash lady was throwing out.

      The spoon is made from a coconut shell, and the handle is also a tropical wood, can't tell from the photo exactly what, possibly a type of palm.

      I am not sure -- BUT I do not think it is that old. There is no wear on it on the handle, and on the spoon area.

      Just my opinion....made to look *Rustic*

      I agree, not old, and most likely half of a salad serving set...missing the fork. More "decorative" than functional. That tied on handle design would never stand up to repeated daily use.
