I wanted to share these amazing Fenton "Lilly and Cattail" pattern bowls that I found at the local thrift store. I scored a set of six bowls in almost perfect condition. They were just sitting on a shelf, completely unappreciated! They are ruffled berry bowls, measuring approximately 5" across. They are a beautiful blue color with some opaque fading towards the top. I believe they are from 1905(ish) era of Fenton glass. The bowls are not marked (pre marking era). I will definately be displaying these for years to come! I've seen green and clear glass bowls of the same color as well. Very pretty!

A great find. Amazing to me that beautiful vintage American glass is so underappreciated these days (by many, anyway).

LG, your information is pretty much correct. "Waterlily and Cattails" is said to be one of the first patterns Fenton made. They began in 1905, but only as a decorating company. They did not begin to produce glass until 1907.
