My Mother was given this set of Haviland china from a dear friend and I have set out to determine the pattern, in order to fill out the set, but have run into the same problem the Schleigers had. After 114 pages of scrolling online [Replacements LTD] and some basic research, I am stumped. From the back markings, I think it is from 1946-1962.

The serving bowl has a faint stamped marking:
    D.1
    3 with a hand scratched X
    [see photo]

I really like the pattern for its simplicity and elegance and would love any help in finding more! Two of the plates have a chip in them, but I don't really mind. The serving dishes are my main interest.
    Thank you for any help!

Those delicate lacy florals appear to be by Theodore Haviland.

Now I know why! Theodore Haviland sold BLANKS, that people could decorate on their own. You MAY have a set that someone custom painted. It's very delicate and pretty! See here:

Well, that explains why I couldn't find the pattern. And it dashes any hopes of filling out the set. I'll just enjoy them while I have them.
