      look on toymans site he has one on there roy cox car with motor he tells all about it

      Straight out of the 50's, they came without a motor so you could put in your own, (I never had a motor), the tabs on the one side held a wire 'bridle' like on a kite that let you put a long string in it and that would allow the car to go in a circle, i'm sure the design allowed for the car to try to go very slightly the other way (turn right) si that it kept the string tight........we always did ours with "Boy Power"...............

      That's a Thimble Drome tether car, quite valuable. Powered by a small model airplane engine, you would connect it to a metal wire and to a post. They go VERY fast around in a circle. Very nice model!
