Super clear fabulous detail on this scarce and truly beautiful collar base cobalt plate. This is an excellent example of the Roundup pattern; it’s in great condition and has obviously been well cared for and treasured. This is one of those Dugan pieces that just don’t come along all that often…particularly in this fabulous undamaged condition. The shine on this piece is outstanding! The pictures do not do the piece justice. The color is truly superb…gold, purple, fuchsia, pink, and teal shimmer on the iridescence. There is also a bit of highly desirable stretch effect on the piece, adding to its overall appeal. The base is in undamaged condition and shows no wear. The edges are nice and smooth showing no wear or chipping. This piece is truly above average and would be a great addition to any collection.
This is an unmarked antique piece of Dugan carnival glass. Antique/vintage Dugan carnival glass will not be marked.
I'm not seeing too much of the stretch effect, but it is very lovely.
