Antique Trumpet Stinky Case

I came across 2 trumpets today, one Vincent Bach and this one that reads Mars USA.
Does Mars stand for a longer name ? This case is so old stinky smelling, I wonder why, had to put it outside over night to air out.
Any ideas on this trumpets maker ?
