Can anyone tell me anything about this desk? I inherited it and know nothing about it. It's a beautiful piece with hidden drawers that I just found after having it six years.

Appears to be a mid to late 20th century. Some photos of the drawer joints and back should confirm.

I have an almost duplicate posted here with a bookcase on top. What are the makers marks on the back of the drawers? Mine are WO16 NP 24. On the rail under the bottom drawer is WO16 NP 24 WAL/ W.E. And the drawer base is longer than the drawer with a screw in a slot to adjust it for shrinkage/ humidity. I can't believe we got the same almost identical piece!!!!

Also the palm columns slip out, and the foot under the door also. The cabinet is 4-6 inches deeper than the drawers and that's a hidden compartment also. There is 7 secret compartments in my piece.
