An amusing vintage Mr. Potato Head children's game in original box and with original pieces (I think maybe one or two pieces are missing), the contents are in the plastic bag. Characters also include Cuthbert Carrot, Claude Cucumber, William Pear and Oliver Onion. Ca, 1950's to early 1960's.

This may be earlier as in 1950s. Mr Potato was made from 1952-63 without the plastic potato. You were supposed to use actual vegetables. I don't see too many of the pre 1964 kits. Good find.

Thanks for that info. Yeah, there's no whole body pieces, only accessories, limbs, hats etc for decorating actual vegetables. Thanks again.

Sorry the potato has an actual body, which you would then add the potato as the head, it's sitting in the box.

I see the body. That is the body for the original that came with the original Mr Potato Head. With the 1960s version the arms point forward.
