The trunk is 32 inches long 24 1/2 in height at its lowest ( hump back top) and 20 inches width. The trunk was given to us 15 years ago, it was from Great Neck, Long Island New York. The top has leather, wood and metal on the corners. The inside is linen. We don't know much other than this and was wondering if anyone had any information on our trunk.

    Thank you,
    Anne Marie
    Long Island, NY

This is a picture of one of the locations on Broadway in NYC. of Crouch and Fitzgerald.(Bottom right hand corner of photo)

There is a long history of the company that can be found in "Jewelers Circular weekly' Volume 78 issue 1 , page 183

This particular Ristori trunk was a top of the line item for C&F, a full explanation of all of the tray compartments can be found in an article Dated July 25, 1868 in Harper's Bazar Magazine page 611. If you have difficulty just goggle: Ristori trunk and you should find what you seek.
