I picked this mostly monochromatic painting on canvas board. It depicts a man and his dog in a boat in the foreground. Plus, two more small boats.
Just guessing but the second boat resembles a sampan.
Based on label on backside, Permalba was invented in 1921 so I would guess this painting dates approximately 1930s.
It appears to be signed but I found and photographed it under black light.
Looks like the dog is a terrier??
