Popular portuguese pottery

I'm a lover and collector of antique and popular portuguese pottery. Today I'm showing you, a kind of portuguese pottery called "fainça falante" , in english "pottery who speak", in french "faience parlante". "Faiança falante", usually are dishes, jugs, platters decorated with sentences and they were very populare from old times to the mid-twentieth century. The sentences are varied and can be lover messages, humorisitical messages, congratulations, informative as is the case of wares for apothecaries, or political phrases. On my plate is written the phrase "Congratulations to newlyweds"
