I just recieved this helmet from a close family friend....he was 96 when he died and served in the war. I really didn't know what I had until the past few days....pretty exciting.

Looks like you have a winner there with that M42. The ET plant later in the war changed their maker code to ckl. That's a classic ET type runic decal. Too bad about the liner condition but you landed a real SS helmet...not an easy task.
