hi there just received this beauty for my birthday I don't know much about its history or even a time period. I was just wondering if someone could tell me anything about it. from what I can say, it's wooden slated with leather handles and steel corning embellishments. thanks for your help!
Hi, your trunk was probably made late 1880's to 1890's, look's like it could have been what I call a spotted tin trunk, I think it was done with some type of chemical process to achieve a colorful spotted look, hoped this helped.
