    Theo. A. Kochs Company was one of the first companies to be in the barber supply business. It was established in Chicago during the late 1800’s (estimated to be around 1871). This chair has the KOCHS brand on the metal foot rest, but I have no idea what year it is. IT LOOKS MIDEVIL BECAUSE ITS SO LARGE AND FRANKENSTEIN LOOKING. It is solid weighs a ton. It has a right handle pump to pump up and same handle to recline the chair. The foot rest comes up when it reclines completely back to a laying position. It has a cigarette ashtray, and the headrest is adjustable. It swivels completely around in both directions. I used it in my salon for many years as a facial and waxing chair. I spent many nights sleeping in this comfortable chair when I worked too late and spent the night.
